Creative PR / Social Media Guru's!
We are keen to find an outgoing individual (or individuals) that has (have) a cross section of skills – in communication and in design / image manipulation. He or she will also already have a solid understanding of social media and possibly e-commerce.
This person will be efficient, detail oriented and deadline conscious, and also able to multi-task. It will be essential that they can connect with and share the passion of our customer base and, as such, they will like (or possibly even be ‘barking mad’ about) dogs and the outdoors. We are a small, shore-based home office so you may even be able to bring your dog to work some days.
Sound interesting? If so, and you have most or all of the following skills, then we’d love to hear from you (if your skills are more on the communication or more on the design side, just spell that out in your application). Here’s what we’re looking for:
- Copywriting skills that will make ‘tails wag’ and that will generate PR and brand awareness online and offline. We will need you to be able to quickly, efficiently and effectively produce regular posts, comments and articles that will appeal to our customer base and that will be ‘liked’ by Google.
- To ensure we get ‘barked’ about, you may understand the in’s & out’s of online distribution strategies via web-based platforms, social bookmarking tools, Twitter, etc.
- Social media tools may also be one of your best mates – you’ll be up to scratch on how businesses are using Facebook, Twitter and other social media interfaces to build communities, brands and a buzz.
- To help us fetch new customers and build our fan base, you may also have experience in developing SEO effective Google Adword display ads and campaigns that will boost our web rankings and conversions.
- It would be great if you had the ability to produce polished, fun blog, webpage or newsletter entries that are visually appealing and include source images and hyperlinks.
- Creatively you may have skills in graphic design and/or image manipulation so as to develop effective online and offline advertising and banners, e-newsletters and website imagery, video development, etc.
- In order to keep our customer’s tails wagging, you may have experience with MailChimp and its functionality and CRM management tools.
- You will definitely have a high level of computer literacy and competency and you may have an understanding of basic HTML code (helpful for both our website and for MailChimp!).
So if you believe, paws down, that you are the best person for this role and ideally can start immediately, then please email your CV and samples of your work to info@canine-spirit.com. In addition, we want you to sell yourself and let us know why you believe you would be best of breed.
Visit our website – www.caninespirit.co.nz - and choose your favourite product. Then, creatively let us know why you love the item – you can do this in words (1-2 paragraphs) or visually / graphically. You’ll probably want to 'dig up' a bit more information on us – so Google us, check out our competitors, and visit some of our suppliers like Ruff Wear.
Very importantly, we are super busy right now! So please direct any questions to us via email at this stage (No phone calls please).
Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work permit.
